One of the standouts at New York Fashion Week in our humble opinion, Monique Lhuillier continues to deliver knockout shows season after season. Renowned for her innovative design and exquisite detailing, Lhuillier showcased a mix of red-carpet ready looks, from edgy leather cocktail dresses to embellished gowns. We particularly loved the digital prints which hinted at a tropical escape along the Mediterranean Sea. We can’t wait to see what she does next!

Summer has arrived, bringing with it seemingly endless days, rising temperatures, and serious mango cravings. To welcome the season, the team took some time out to share their list of summer essentials.
What’s your favourite piece in your summer wardrobe?

A prominent look on the streets during Spring/Summer fashion month, we love the idea of pairing high impact jewels with an all white outfit for the warmer months ahead! Take a note from the industry’s style setters and team a classic white shift dress or a sharply tailored ivory suit with layers of wrist wear or a colourful gemstone around your neck. It’s the perfect way to wear your much loved cdl pieces all summer long. Check out the style shots below for a little inspiration!
What I’ve been listening to this week… Happy Friday everyone!
Lisa Mitchell – Bless This Mess
Birdy – 1901
Mumford & Sons – Where Are You Now
Gypsy & the Cat – Bloom
The Reubens – My Gun
Pouring over the latest looks from S/S Fashion Week, we’ve noted black has been dominating the runways. After a brief hiatus which saw designers explore print and colour in new ways, it seems black has made a strong resurgence with a return to form and fit lending to a more subdued palette. One of our favourite colours to wear, we are inspired by the way designers such as Costume National, Celine, Stella McCartney and Balenciaga have reworked the LBD and classic pant suit in new cuts and textures to create cool, contemporary ensembles. It’s clear black is back and here to stay!

We are loving the barely there beauty looks which were a prominent feature at the S/S fashion shows this season. Designers such as Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Derek Lam, Diane Von Furstenberg and Alexander McQueen kept their makeup looks subdued and let their clothes and accessories do the talking – just how we like it!
An easy and effortless beauty look for the warmer months of the year, prep skin with a primer before applying foundation and use an illuminator above the cheek bones and eyebrows for an added glow. Can’t live without a hint of colour? Use a light dusting of bronzer and a pale pink lipstick for a sun kissed look. Check out the images below for a little beauty inspiration!

can’t get enough of the latest offerings by camilla and marc for their diffusion line c&m. a more youthful and relaxed approach to dressing than their chief label – the graphic prints, flowing silohuettes and school girl styling spark thoughts of summer time picnis and friday night football games. love the pop of neon leopard too.
note to self: must buy baseball cap this spring.
